Facing the pressure of final exams this week in the waning days of fall semester, the Christmas break serves as a beacon of hope for many Gonzaga students, especially those who are away from home the first time.
Other students, however, refuse to let exams damper their festive spirits. Junior Nikki Kelly, for example, said she can’t wait to go home and spend Christmas with family and friends.
“I’ve been in the library during most of my free time lately,” Kelly said. “I’m just trying to get everything finished so I can finally go home and get a well-needed break.”
Junior Micah Howe also is jazzed for some rest and relaxation but will miss friends and family at Gonzaga. “I’m excited to see family members and friends,” Howe said, “but life at school is so much more bodacious than life at home. I already can’t wait to get back to it.”
Freshman Mary Jantsch caught up with other students at the Crosby Student Center just before Christmas and asked them what they look most forward to during winter break. Click on the following link to view their colorful responses.
