The Mass is for people of every faith tradition. The principal celebrant and homilist at this year’s Mass of the Holy Spirit was the Very Rev. Patrick J. Lee, S.J., provincial of the Oregon Province of the Society of Jesus.

Upon conclusion of the Mass, a simple but special ceremony took place in which Interim President  McCulloh was missioned to Gonzaga as “the director of the work.”

Don Nelles, chairman of the Gonzaga University Board of Trustees, presented President McCulloh with the seal of the University. Fr. Lee formally identified President McCulloh as the one responsible for carrying out the Jesuit mission of the University.
