SPOKANE, Wash. – A dozen Gonzaga University students will showcase their passion for choreography and dance in concert performances at 7:30 p.m. April 4-5 in the Harry and Colleen Magnuson Theatre. These students are in an academic course and have been choreographing routines under the direction of Instructor Suzanne Ostersmith.

The students held open auditions to select dancers at Gonzaga to be in their company and have held weekly rehearsals to teach routines and polish their work in preparation for the concert performances, which will feature a variety of dance styles including jazz, ballet, and hip-hop.

Both the choreographers and their companies look forward to expressing their creativity and love of dance on the stage.  “My dance is about my mom and dad and their life adventures,” said senior choreographer and dance minor Maddy Nolan. “I can’t wait to surprise them and have them watch it the night of the show.”

To reserve a ticket, call the Gonzaga Theater Box Office at (509) 313-6533 or purchase tickets online at www.gonzaga.edu/theatrearts.  Tickets are $3.
