SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga University theatre arts will present the One Act Festival this Friday and Saturday, May 3-4, in the Magnuson Theatre. This festival, which is free and open to the public, features short plays directed by Gonzaga students. The festival marks the final performances of the school year.

There will be four different performances each night, starting at 7:30 p.m. On Friday night, the four shows are: “Springtime,” “Crazy Eights,” “Smitten,” and “Words, Words, Words.”  On Saturday night, the plays will be “Most Massive Woman Wins,” “Staging Life,” “Mere Mortals,” and “Approaching the End of a Summer.”

The student directors and actors have been working all semester for this final showcase. “My favorite part,” said director Meg Gardner, a senior, “has been the collaboration that’s taken place within my play, which has made it such a well-rounded and fulfilling experience!” Gardner has been working alongside seven other student directors: Anthony Armstrong, Devin Devine, Erin Fitzgerald, Andrew Garcia, Hannah Hodulik, Jordyn Hudson, and Jeff Rutherford.
