SPOKANE, Wash. – The National Orientation Directors Association has recognized Gonzaga University’s parent and family office with its annual national Innovative Program Award for the student leader training program, titled “Parent and Family Speak.”

In addition, Parent and Family Program Director Amy Swank was named president-elect for the Association of Higher Education Parent/Family Program Professionals. Swank has led this GU office since its inception 10 years ago. Swank will begin her term as president in January 2019. She will be the first president from a Jesuit university and the first from the western United States.

“I’m humbled to serve an organization that has supported our work at Gonzaga and of course supported my growth as a professional,” Swank said.
