Gonzaga Presents Annual Spring Dance Concert April 27-29 at Magnuson Theatre

SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga University Theatre & Dance presents its 16th annual Spring Dance Concert, featuring a variety of styles performed by Gonzaga dance students at 7:30 p.m. on April 27, 28 and 29, and a 2 p.m. Saturday matinee April 29. All performances will be in the Magnuson Theatre, located in College Hall.

SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga University Choirs and Timothy Westerhaus, conductor, will offer a free, public concert in celebration of Black History Month at 3 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 26 in the Hemmingson Center Ballroom. The Choirs will accept donations to benefit the Martin Luther King, Jr. Family Outreach Center.

SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga University senior Bethany Beekly is gifted in both science and the humanities, and does not allow her rigorous course load to hamper her enthusiasm for music, dance and helping others. An honors student majoring in biology with a minor in chemistry, she has been on the President’s List (minimum 3.7 grade-point average) virtually her entire Gonzaga career.

SPOKANE, Wash. – Novelist Tim O’Brien, known for his work tapping into his experiences as a soldier in the Vietnam War, will read from his work at 7:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 6 in the Hemmingson Center Ballroom as part of the popular Gonzaga University Visiting Writers Series. Earlier that day, O’Brien will conduct a public question-and-answer session from 1:10-2 p.m. in the Hemmingson Auditorium.

SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga University theatre’s production of “Mr. Burns, A Post-Electric Play” has been invited to perform at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival in Denver, for the 2017 Region VII event next month. This marks the first time a Gonzaga production has been invited to perform at the festival.

For Burgett, who is majoring in political science and criminal justice, it’s a dream come true.
